TENANTS PARTICIPATION TEAM

CurnockTRA has falsely accused a resident for theft. After a complaint to the Camden Council by the resident, Mr Holmes from the complaints department  suggested a meeting in his response to the complaint on the 29th January 2013.

Since then the TRA has refused to arrange the meeting and/or response to our emails. They seem unable to defend their baseless accusations.

Curnock TRA has also repeatetly refused to adopt the Tenants Participation Recommendations.

On 26-06-2012, Ms Dawn Aldred Hayes (Tenant Participation Manager)  stated:

"Ms Parveen-cic has put forward recommendations resulting from a complaint to the current TRA members. These recommendations include adopting the Council’s model constitution."

CurnockTRA has NEVER adopted the Council's Model Constitution or any other of the above recommendations*

* On the 9th Dec 2012 Cllr Khatoon stated: "I had a quick word with Susan two weeks ago regarding adopting new constitution. According to Susan, at this moment they have no plan to adopt a new constitution. Which means they would like to keep their existing constitution."

SUBJECTIVE ANNUAL REPORT

Curnock TRA did not provide an annual report concerning the last year's finances because the Treasurer was absent on both elections!!

TRA has the capability to change and manipulate the meeting notes/reports as and when they please and make the notes and their decisions to match their spending needs of the public funds. This is possible because the notes are confidential and not accessible to anyone.

COMPLAINTS MADE

AGAINST THE TRA

A resident from Trimdon wrote:

"I’d like to thank you for all the time and effort that you have put into the www.curnockestate.com  website, but in particular the campaign petition and associated communications regarding the hot water problems we are all experiencing.

The site and the petition have raised awareness across the estate and motivated the ... resident’s into speaking out.

It is all too easy to think that when there is a problem, someone else will report it, and I include us here at Trimdon in that statement. We all now know that one or two people calling doesn’t get the job done.

We need a voice and a way to demonstrate to the council exactly how many properties are affected by different incidents and your site has provided us with that. "
